In the Warring States period, lies the Ren Dynasty. Haoyu, a 200 year old huli jing, and an omega, is born to be a malevolent, playful spirit, destined to haunt, seduce, and other behaviors that civilians in the empire find creepy.

An empire advisor, Zhiyuan, tries to find evidence from the citizens after realizing that most of their valuables are missing, they have gotten weirder, and the atmosphere of the area felt palpable. Zhiyuan, an alpha, is known to despise evil spirits. After Haoyu is captured, his powers are neutralized, so he couldn't go back into his fox spirit form.

As human-form Haoyu is now abducted, he has to figure out the common knowledge of daily human life, such as manners, and stop being a kleptomaniac. Haoyu is actually becoming a civilized person.

But both Zhiyuan and Haoyu don't realize that they get closer and closer to the point of being, basically in love with each other. But being in an ignorant world, homosexuality is prohibited. What would they do next?
