He stepped closer, looming, his voice dropping to a growl. "I'm not here to beg for your forgiveness. I don't need it. I know I can't fix what I did. I know I can't erase the past. But I want to move forward. I want-" His voice broke, and something dangerous flashed in his eyes. "I want you."
The mate bond surged, filling the space between us with heat. I hated how much I wanted to believe him, to let myself lean into that warmth. I hated that he could make me feel safe and unsafe in the same breath.
I shook my head, my anger rising to meet his. "You don't know what you want. You think the bond means something, but it doesn't. Not to me." The lie tasted bitter. I wanted him to hurt. I wanted him to feel the same confusion and pain that I did.
His eyes flashed, hard and cold. "It doesn't mean anything to me either," he snapped, voice suddenly sharp and cutting. "It's just a bond. Biology. I can ignore it, if you can."
The words hit me like a slap. I felt my breath catch. "You're a liar!" I shouted, voice shaking.

In a land where trust is a luxury and love is a battlefield, Katariina must decide if she can risk her heart-and her pack-to claim a future with the one wolf who could destroy her, or save her.
Queen Hellion is a dark, fated mates romance about power, survival, and the cost of letting yourself be known.
"What are you?" He asks me, breaking the silence. I am quite shocked by this question. Mostly because I don't even know how to answer it.
"Werewolf. I think... And you are a vampire," I state. He nods.
"You don't smell like a werewolf." He lifts his hand to my neck, moving my hair aside, and looks at the bite mark on my shoulder. "And you don't taste like one."
I breathe superficially, scared of what he might do next.
"I would be lying if I said I didn't want to taste you again." He says, leaving his mouth slightly open. I just stare at him with wide scared eyes. He looks up from my wound and wink at me, causing him to smile a bit and show a fang.
I blink a couple of times and swallow, trying to water my throat. He sees me struggling.
"Need some extra saliva?" He almost laughs at me...
