A short what-if fic. This is based off of my main fic; Flicker.
Instead of finding J like one might expect, S almost doesn't find her. Once they reunite it doesn't go as planned; and S is left wondering if everything is going to be okay. As life goes on S must come to her new reality, one which might not include J.
The start of this fic takes over the ending portion of Chapter 38 of Flicker. One of my readers gave me the idea for this thing, and it's pretty sick.

Months before an important gathering would take place, Tessa James Elliott comes across a rarity abandoned in the scrap heap.
