Worthy (Tanjiro x reader)

After her village is burned to the ground by the demon king himself, Y/N is taken in by the butterfly sisters. Under the mentorship of insect pillar Shinobu Kochō, Y/N learns to turn her grief into strength. She's determined to earn the survival that somehow found her, even if it means death. As Y/N's skills manifest, so does her thirst for vengeance. When she enters final selection, Y/N meets someone whose smile makes her feel like nothing is impossible.

Hiiiii! In anticipation of Infinity Castle, I started writing this, mostly as a way to cope with what I know will be heartbreak of an immeasurable degree, but also because we don't talk enough about how gorgeous the protagonist of Demon Slayer is. I hope it makes at least a little sense :)
