This story is largely based on Simone Hicks and Damon Sims from All American Homecoming. They met freshmen year of college, but don't build a bond/relationship until their junior year. In the beginning, all they know about each other is very surface level. They haven't felt the need to explore their dynamic, but a new level of closeness brings new opportunities for them to become intrigued by one another. As more truths unfold, they have to decide whether they want to continue on the same path or go their separate ways.
If you're not familiar with the show, here is a brief description: The show follows tennis hopeful, Simone Hicks, and MLB prospect, Damon Sims, and their group of friends/family as they begin their freshman year at the prestigious Bringston University in Atlanta. Simone decides to find her way back to tennis, hoping to go pro one day, while Damon leaves his MLB prospection behind (temporarily) to help save the Bringston baseball team, and to learn more about himself as a young adult. Both go through many challenges, but often lean on each other and their Bringston friends/family along the way.
