18 year-old Marie Clark has been abused by her boyfriend of two years, Jack. He smokes, drinks, cheats, just about everything repulsive. Niall's older brother, Greg, is 'friends' with Jack, and is invited to a party at Jack's place. Niall is forced to tag along by his unsuspecting mother. Niall soon realizes Marie's predicament and during a particularly bad beating, Niall intervenes: something no one ever dared to do.
