Spikes and Silences

Set during the third and final year of high school, Of Spikes and Silences follows a quiet, observant female student who works on the yearbook committee and often watches the boys' volleyball team through the lens of her camera. What begins as a simple interest in documenting fleeting moments turns into something deeper when she starts noticing Matsukawa Issei-not just as a player, but as a person hiding a lot beneath his laid-back exterior.

As the pressure of their final year builds-national tournaments, looming futures, and emotional cracks within the team-so too does the subtle connection between her and Matsukawa. What starts with small talk, soft glances, and late-night texts slowly grows into a bond built on shared silences and quiet understanding.
