Everyone looks forward to Selection Day- except Maven. Before their twenty-first birthday, every person receives a Sign from one of the twelve deities, guiding them toward the god who will grant a gift perfect for their future, but Maven is still waiting. She hopes for a Sign from Isolde, goddess of art and beauty, believing she could "fix" her vitiligo and finally belong in the world. But across the Realms, something dark is stirring. A string of brutal killings has everyone on edge, and whispers blame one of the Twelve. When Selection Day arrives, Maven encounters what no one ever has- a Summons. Thrust into a world of divine politics and dangerous secrets, Maven begins to suspect that her Summoning may not be the curse she first believed. As she hunts for answers and a way to shape a future she can live with, she uncovers a truth that could shatter everything the Realms believe. A war is coming. And Maven may be the key to stopping it. ***Not my Art. I got this from Pinterest. If it's AI, it was unintentional***

"But pr-omice me s-something." I said. "Kiss a girl only when it comes from here." I placed my hand on his chest, over his heart. "You should kiss only the one you love.
