To say the least, Charlene doesn't take it well when James Barnes finds her and tells her that she is his long-lost daughter. That was the second time she ran. The first time, she was only 15 years old, years of being drowned for minutes that felt like years, she knew she had to go, after that, running just became her escape, the easy way out.
She never met anyone who could catch her. Until he did. He caught her every time.
