I woke up with my hair matted to my forehead from the sweat. Not again, I thought as I wrapped my arms around my chest and began to softly rock myself. Those words lingered in my head, desperately wanting to be said to him.

Alex is a 22 year old woman trying to move away from her past and make a new life for herself, but when an opportunity arises for her to see someone who meant so dearly to her, but tossed her aside, she decided to take it hoping it would put closure on the constant pain. But she never thought that anything like this would happen. Now, she's in too deep and it may break her beyond repair.

Caelan thought things would be easier this way, he thought she could make a life for herself outside of him and settle down with someone who wouldn't be constantly traveling. She deserved someone who could actually be there for her, not only a few months out of the year. Someone who had his life together and could love her to the fullest.
