Emi Fukukado has two things going for her: a killer bedside manner and the stubborn belief that even the grumpiest people deserve a good morning wave. Her next-door neighbor? Aizawa Shouta-walking gloom cloud, professional recluse, and certified "do not engage" energy.
Naturally, she says hi to him every chance she gets.
Between chaotic ER shifts and microwave dinners for one, Emi makes it her unofficial mission to earn so much as a grunt from the mysterious man in 3B. What she doesn't know is that Shouta's not just a socially-inept insomniac with a resting death glare-he's an underground Pro Hero who's been trying (and failing) to keep his world quiet, controlled, and completely Emi-free.
Too bad she's sunshine with a smile sharp enough to cut through every wall he's built.
She falls first. Loudly. With coffee bribes, too much laughter, and way too many accidental encounters.
