Every moon age the Alvari empire grows, and the year of the Arcane approaches. Those who have seen through the plague of tongue are forever changed. No one is the same.

Etha wishes nothing more but to see the end of the Alvari family rule, and be rid of the plague that changed her family. The fear of arcane has spread to the people, all those who were blessed with the skills to control the arcane elements are either dead or in hiding. Etha being one of them.

However, what will she do when chaos lay in the palm of her hands and the Alvari prince be within her grasp?

And how will he prove the truth is not the truth at all?

"How? How do you still live, when everyone else dies?!" I strain in a desperate attempt to gain some of the answers I have been craving.
I am met with no reply, only the analysing gaze of his green eyes, partially covered by the strands of his black hair.
"Tell me!" I tighten the shackles that bind him to the contraption, tearing his arms and legs bit by bit.
"I don't know! I don't know why, I wish I knew, please believe me when I say that." He cries out, dropping his head, the first words he has spoken since I captured him leaving his lips however restrained he tried to be.
Only, that wasn't the right voice.
I lift his head for him to face me, the tears streaming down his face almost removing any magic used to disguise him in their path.
"You aren't the Prince.."
