This story somewhat accurately describes how a teenage girl living in a messed-up relationship with her family and abusive father manages to survive the horrors of her past traumas and school life as she struggles to keep herself sane. She lives in a continuous state of doubt as she questioned herself if love was even real. She attempts to cope with life by marking her body with knives. However, she soon comes to meet Nathan, a boy who, apparently, could see right through Gemma. Gemma eventually stops trying to hurt herself further because of that boy. However, their love story is blocked by Claire, Gemma's 'bully', 's presence. Will Gemma ever actually escape from her childhood past and start anew, maybe with Nathan? Well, you'd better start reading to find out! (GANG STOP. IM SOBBING TS LOWKEY CRINGE.)

Brooklyn Robins was left to be raised by her 7 brothers after her mom died and dad had abandon them a few years prior. Her brothers have always been protective of her and kept her as sheltered as they could which meant no phone or boys among other things. They had banned Brooklyn from dating and she was okay with it, she didn't even really want to date. But at this point, she was 16 and had never had a boyfriend and was coming to the point where she wanted to date. Her brothers' friend came over all the time. Blake Anders. She always thought he was attractive but he never even looked at her until she went through a growth spurt over the summer. When he begins to talk with her, she begins to actually like him as opposed to just thinking he was cute. But Blake didn't have the best reputation with girls, and Brooklyn's brothers knew that so they didn't let their little sister date him like usual. But when Brooklyn decided to actually rebel against them for once, things get messy. - I really suck at descriptions, but please give my book a read?
