Neo is an introverted, quiet guy who hates interacting with people. He prefers to be on his own. His life has been tough ever since he was a kid-his mother passed away from cancer, and afterward his family situation only got worse. That left a big impact on how his personality developed. At 17, Neo has no clue how to socialize, and he isn't interested in meeting new people either. No one wanted to be friends with the "loner" anyway. Then there's Ivy. Ivy is one of the popular kids at Camae High. She's cheerful, outgoing, and loved by everyone. EVERYONE wants to be her friend, and she gladly takes the chance to hang out with anyone. Unlike Neo, she was born into wealth and privilege. So why would she bother trying to understand him? He made it clear he wanted nothing to do with her, but she didn't stop. They met during the cold of winter-and ever since then, every winter has been different. PS: English is not my first language so excuse any grammatical errors.

"If things were different..." Jeff's voice trails off. Ivy finishes it for him: "We would've been something, right?" He fell for her when she was still learning how to let people close. She fell for him when he'd already learned how to stay safe behind silence. They walk the same campus, smile the same polite smiles, and avoid the same memories they both keep replaying at night. Jeff doesn't blame her for falling late - he thinks she deserves a love without hesitation. Ivy keeps drifting toward him anyway - a little too curious, a little too attached to the version of him she once imagined. Some stories don't arrive loudly. Some slip in quietly, in the hesitation before a confession, in the space between two hearts that almost touched. A tender, aching slow-burn about timing, courage, and the love that waits in the quiet.
