Upon the return of the Mare in the Moon, Nightmare Moon, Twilight Sparkle is given a mission by Princess Celestia before her disappearance to find a magical mirror that would transport Twilight into an Alternate dimension filled with... Humans..? With this quest she has been given, she must discover Princess Celestia's previous pupil, Sunset Shimmer, who cursed Celestia's name in vain and became cruel, selfish, and dishonest. Her impatience and desire for power during her tutelage under Princess Celestia caused her to find the mirror and leave to find her path to later take over Celestia and Equestia along with her. Twilight can't just defeat Sunset Shimmer, but also reform her to help defeat Nightmare Moon. Twilight later discovers she and Sunset aren't enough. Will Twilight be able to take back Equestria from Nightmare Moon, or will Celestia be imprisoned on the Moon and the land be shrouded in eternal night?
