The morning light poured gently into the bedroom, casting a warm glow on the two sleepy figures wrapped in each other under the soft comforter. Jungkook lay sprawled across Taehyung's chest, arms lazily wrapped around his waist, while Taehyung played with Jungkook's messy bed hair, twirling strands around his fingers.
"Your hair looks like a nest," Taehyung mumbled with a small smile, pressing a kiss to the top of Jungkook's head.
Jungkook groaned. "Yah, I'm fragile in the morning. Be nice."
Taehyung chuckled, eyes crinkling. "Sorry. You're the most beautiful bird-nest I've ever seen."
Jungkook lifted his head and narrowed his eyes at him. "That better be your weird way of saying 'I love you.'"
Taehyung grinned. "It is."
Jungkook squinted suspiciously. "Hmm. Doesn't sound like it."
Taehyung rolled them both over until he was on top, hovering over Jungkook with a smug smile. "Fine. I'll say it properly."
He leaned down and kissed Jungkook's nose, cheeks, and forehead, each kiss softer than the last. Then finally, he whispered against his lips, "I love you, Jeon Jungkook."
Jungkook's lips curved into a smile as he looped his arms around Taehyung's neck. "I love you more, Kim Taehyung."
Taehyung gasped dramatically. "Excuse me?! Impossible."
Jungkook nodded proudly. "Completely possible. I love you more than chocolate chip cookies."
Taehyung looked horrified. "Now you're just being reckless."
They both burst into laughter, the room echoing with their bright voices and warmth. Jungkook pulled Taehyung down again and buried his face into his neck.
"I missed you so much," he mumbled, his voice softening. "Don't go away for that long again."
Taehyung wrapped his arms around him tightly. "Never. Next time, I'm dragging you and our baby bump along."
