 In 1996, Eileen Campbell was the alternate player for The WHS Yellowjackets, she shouldn't have been on the the plane , she only had 3 friends on the team but when Allie gets injured she's forced to replace her.

But then the plane crashes and Eileen and her teammates have to figure out how to survive in the Canadian wilderness and soon the rest of the Yellowjackets will learn just how vital Eileen is to the team.

Because the Alternate always becomes the hero.
