Not a Promise, Not a Lie is a story told through poems about two people who loved each other in the wrong way. It's written from both their points of view-hers and his-as they go through love, heartbreak, lies, regret, and what comes after. These poems show what it feels like to be hurt by someone you trusted, and what it means to heal, or try to. It's not a perfect love story. It's about the messy, real parts-the silence, the anger, the missing pieces-and how sometimes the person you loved most is also the one who broke you. If you've ever loved the wrong person, or been the one who made mistakes, these poems will feel like something you've lived through too.
