Dear Reader Never set things in stone. Trust me. I used to believe I had my last year of high school already planned out. Become the Student Council President, find love, show my dad what I can do, you know all the good stuff. But life is unpredictable. For example, I never thought I'd meet the most irritating, blunt, and closed off woman in the world. Theresa Divine Marston, what a name right? Sounds angelic, until you realize she's actually a living demon-But then again, falling in love with her wasn't on my bingo card either, so who's to say? The point is, I'm still trying to figure everything out. With elections near the horizon, and my ex of all people running against me, plus the added fact that I'm graduating which is a can of worms in itself. For now, I just hope to find an answer soon. Because how am I expected to keep going, when I'm on the verge of losing everything? ... Phew, that went into a turn didn't it? But anyhow, yeah that's about it. Yours truly, Sebastian C. Knightly

Damien Cole built his empire on control - every decision calculated, every weakness eliminated. At forty-eight, the ruthless CEO of Cole Investments doesn't let anyone close enough to see the cracks beneath his polished surface. Then Tessa Hale walks into his office - twenty-six, ambitious, and too fearless for her own good. She doesn't bow, doesn't fawn, and isn't afraid to challenge him. For the first time in years, Damien feels something he can't quite manage: fascination. What begins as curiosity turns into quiet obsession. He starts watching her too closely, protecting her too fiercely, manipulating the world around her so she never leaves his orbit. Tessa senses the shadows gathering - but the safety and intensity he offers pull her in as much as they terrify her. In a world built on power, what happens when love becomes the most dangerous form of control?
