The gate swung open with a metallic groan. Dust rose in lazy spirals.

Namjoon stepped through, boots heavy with the weight of his past and the whisper of everything he'd left behind.

He came for the horses.
The contract.
A paycheck big enough to start over.

Then Vincent rode up-grinning like trouble, sun at his back, shadows cast down his jaw, shirt unbuttoned just enough to tease. The linen clung to secrets the way sweat clings to summer skin. He slid into the saddle with the kind of ease that made it impossible not to stare.

Namjoon tried not to.

Tried not to react to the way Vincent's thighs settled, how the light caught the curve of his waist.

"I'm gonna teach you how to ride," Namjoon's voice is low and sultry.

Vincent didn't answer-
Not out loud, anyway.

He thought he came here to tame wild things.
Turns out, one of them might be him.
