The Weight of Grief
It's almost funny. How grief sneaks up on you. One second, you're fine; you're coping well and then it hits you like a bullet, tearing right through your heart, almost killing you on the spot. Grief is a monster that lies dormant in the darkest quarters of your mind, growing stronger and stronger until you can't fight anymore. Until you can't breathe. Peter was fractured. The monster having grown too big, and without any support left to hold him up, the world of drugs dug its claws into him. And it was slowly killing him, like a sickly sweet poison that dulled the pain while quietly feeding on his soul. He was powerless to stop it. He was too tired to stop it. Tony was doing pretty good. Aside from having died, he was doing pretty good. Resurrected from the dead, check. Thanos dead, check. Wife and daughter thriving, check. He'd never expected to get his life back, that was for sure. He was thankful for the second chance. Unfortunately, Tony was quick to discover that the kid had all but lost his own life. It felt like a knife slowly twisting into his chest every time he saw the kid: in agony. Now Tony wasn't exactly the poster-child for a good emotional support figure, but he wasn't about to sit back and let this continue. No matter how hard the kid fought him, no matter how much resistance he was met with, Tony would help the kid. Still, he couldn't help the fear that laced his blood. Peter Parker was bitten by a radio active spider. We all know that already. He got powers, and became a super hero too. Knew that as well. But here's where things get weird. Peter has only had these powers for 6 months. It changed a lot of things about him. But after he got back from his trip with Tony Stark during the civil war of the avengers, things changed for the worse. He met you, and realized that being spider man put you, and other people he loved in danger. Now he's faced with the choice of giving up on spider man, or continuing knowing that it could hurt the ones he loves. You, on the other hand, have had it pretty weird yourself. You've always lived in New York, so you definitely saw the alien invasion when you were 7. During that invasion you were hit by a mysterious blast of foreign space substance. Oh yeah, it gave you powers. Cliche like that. But they were strange, and you yourself didn't even think them powers. You can sorta see into the future. But it's difficult. You know when bad things are gonna happen, or good things, and people call you a freak. The Gypsy of the school. But when you and Peter's problems get intertwined... things get interesting. WARNING: this was written by a straight trans dude questioning everything in life so basically it's going to be a ridiculously long slow burn because all I wanted in this was to be friends with spiderman. His parents died when he was young and doesn't remember them well, his aunt and uncle took him in but they were killed, he got his powers, lived on the streets for three years, went to elementary school and got bullied, was taken by hydra, got saved by S.H.I.E.L.D. then retaken by hydra, got turned into a assassin, worked with the Winter Soldier, escaped from hydra, remember his past, started high school, became Spiderman. Now Peter is trying to be normal. He does his homework, hangs out with Ned and MJ, trying to ignore Flash but life hates Peter and now he has to deal with getting a Stark internship, the Avengers trying to find out his identity, hiding his past from his friends, The Winter Soldier but what could go wrong Read to find out I'm using Tom Hollands spiderman and I have no rights over Marvel

So, I suck at descriptions. ha. Sorry. Here we go; Life is hard, especially when you're juggling the life of a teenage nerd and a superhero. Now that May knows, what will she force to change in Peter's life? But before they can even really reach an agreement about anything, someone big and bad is back. Now Peter has to save the Avengers, New York and himself. With the help from his guy in the chair, can he manage it all? Friends, enemies and even frenemies are about to all crash together as the climax of Peter's world comes crashing down on him. Also includes: the Avengers being awesome!
