This story is an adaptation of "You Can Live Forever", a sapphic film. An author on Wattpad allowed me to translate her story into English, well, enjoy it readers. author - @onceandonly4twice --- Jaime Buckley, now in her early twenties, returns to Montreal after completing her studies in Europe. Over the past few years, she has wandered across the continent, fulfilling her dream of exploring cities like London, Barcelona, Prague, and Lucca. She now works as a freelance writer and photographer - her camera and notebook her constant companions. Yet despite the personal growth and the miles placed between her and her past, Jaime remains haunted by one memory: the brief but consuming relationship she once shared with Marike. One day, an unexpected letter arrives. Her Aunt Beth writes to tell her that Marike has left the Jehovah's Witnesses community and is now living alone in a small house in Montreal. Between the lines of the letter, Jaime senses not only the silent struggles that both of them still carry, but also a quiet longing - a door, perhaps, still half-open. Moved by curiosity, by old wounds that never quite healed, and by a fragile, persistent hope, Jaime makes a choice. She will return.

It's been over a year since Cassidy Miller retired from the United States Marine Corps, but try telling that to her nightmares. She knew that coming back after eight years in a war zone wouldn't be easy, but she'd underestimated the real difficulties of transitioning back to civilian life. War is hell, but the aftermath is endless. Looking for a fresh start, she's left her friends and career in Minneapolis to be a police officer in northern Minnesota. It's in the tiny town of Embarrass where she learns more about Julia Desjardin. The city prosecutor is cool, professional, and untouchable. But she and Cassidy have history, and Cassidy isn't going to let her easily forget that. For all their surface differences, Cassidy and Julia have more in common than they first realized-both are reluctant to hand over their pasts to be judged and studied. But it might take someone just as damaged as the other to help each cope with the skeletons in their respective closets. Three Chapter Excerpt: Full novel available in ebook and paperback on Amazon
