After the Events of DMC5. Dante and Vergil were stuck in the Underworld/Hell/Makai after destroying the Roots of the Qliphoth Tree, a demonic tree the Vergil or his demonic half Urizen summoned to gain the ultimate power by taking the blood of humans making a fruit of divine power. Eventually this ultimately came to and end then the two brothers were set straight by Nero, Vergil's son and they put their differences and rivarly aside to stop the tree for good. Now with the two sparda twins trapped in the underworld they are free to battle each other or the denizens of the underworld. Eventually they have gotten their fill and decided to leave with the help of Vergil's Yamato but this didn't go as planned as they were sent to a new universe entirely. Of course this task will reveal to them much that they didn't know about there world, lives, and other worlds. What danger will they face, what encounters will they face, what will they discover upon catching it, let's go and see fellow readers.

Seeing as their ticket way out, and Dante seeing it as a way to have normal food like pizza and strawberry Sunday's again, the two go through it only to find out it wasn't a way home... but to another world, where the two quickly realise that they were called there by the god's because of a grave mistake that a 'useless' goddess made which could cause the other worlds destruction... and let's just say the two were outright PISSED at them.
