In 3039, a virus broke out and killed millions. However, it only affected anyone over the age of 30. Families were ruined. Children were left without a home. Cities were broken . Everyone was left in shatters. Then, the government decided to come up with an idea. Through a lottery, every teenager was paired up with a spouse and was given a young child to take care for the rest of their years. 

Melanie Winters was the perfect girl. Perfect grades. Caring dad. However, her life was quickly turned upside down when she realized that she was paired up with   Alex Maine, the mysterious boy next door who happens to be the boy who hasn't said one word to her once, even though he has lived there for years.
Melanie struggles as she tries to raise their baby, along with trying to learn more about her new hubby. Will Melanie find answers, and will she forever be clueless?
