A story about Katya, a 16-year-old girl, who finds her grandmother's diary in the attic. It tells tales of a Russia which she had not been alive to see- tales of war, grief, loss, victory. Most importantly, it taught escape.
What secrets are being hidden between the faulty Russian politicians? How many of her grandmother's outlandish tales are actually true?
This story follows the GCSE Edexcel Russia and the Soviet Union 1917-41 specification, including truthful dates and statistics referenced from the Hodder GCSE History for Edexcel book. It serves as a revision guide which is hopefully more fun than simply reading the textbook.
