And what's one way to cover up your past? Make jokes about it of course. Laugh it off, even if it freaks others out and pushed them away. They'll all leave her eventually, it's just a matter of time.
But maybe this time, someone won't leave? Maybe she'll finally find the peace she's been looking for? Maybe it all started on a Christmas Eve in the British Museum?

Nico finally gets out of that weird hotel, only for everything to be different. There are a lot more lights, and everyone is staring at this tiny screen, and the weird lawyer lady is watching him now. His dad visits sometimes, but not enough. His sister is growing distant, which makes sense, she had her own life. It still hurt sometimes though. Then things start to change. He meets the Waynes, for one. Gotham is a big scary place, when he's allowed out into it, but they're nice. And their dad is funny. A lot funnier than his dad.(Don't tell Hades he said that.
