The streets were loud. Always loud. Always hungry.
Dunk's body ached. His stomach had stopped growling days ago - as if even it had given up. The city didn't care who fell on its concrete. Not when there were parties to attend and purses to clutch.

He sat curled against a rusted lamppost, wrapped in a rag that used to be a shirt, eyes barely open, mind long past caring. The world had turned grayscale.

Then it happened.

A voice-young, sharp, bubbling with laughter-floated from across the sidewalk. Talk of brands and boutiques, a string of designer names like spells: "Prada, Gucci, Balenciaga-no, not that again, please-" and then... footsteps slowed.

A boy, maybe 14, with warm skin and a smile too bright for this city, stepped forward. He wasn't dressed in gold, but his confidence shimmered. His eyes flickered to Dunk, just for a second.

He didn't say a word.

He just walked up, pulled out a packet of food from his glittery tote bag, and placed it beside Dunk. Then a folded bill-crisp, blue, too generous. He turned, already laughing again with his friends as they walked away.

He never looked back.

But Dunk...
Dunk never stopped looking.

⸻

Thirteen years later.

The party pulsed like a vein, neon and expensive.
Chandeliers trembled with bass. Flutes of champagne floated past on silver trays. Everyone glittered, but no one glowed.

Dunk stood by the entrance in a tailored black-on-black ensemble that screamed "touch me and die, but take a photo first." A soft silk scarf looped around his neck like smoke. Rings on every finger. The room shrank when he walked in.

"Who invited the bodyguard in Chanel?" a voice snapped across the room.

Dunk's eyes turned, slow and hungry.

There he was.

Joong. Older. Wilder. Dressed like sin on sale. Lips curled in mischief, eyes narrowed like he already knew he'd be the problem tonight.

Dunk's breath didn't hitch. He didn't melt.

He smiled.

He was waiting outside the OP, there for his student who had been injured during a fight over a phone. As he sat, casually glancing at his own phone, he suddenly heard the faint sound of a baby crying. Curious, he turned toward the sound-and froze. There, outside the pediatric care unit, sat his wife with their son crying in her arms. His heart ached-it had been months since he last saw his son. His gaze shifted to his wife, gently consoling the child. Her face looked tired, pale, and completely drained. Without a second thought, he stood, tears welling in his eyes. Each step he took felt heavy, his chest tightening with every cry from his son. As he neared, he saw her clothes were faded and worn. Her feet were bare, hardened from walking-clearly straight from the farm. His heart clenched. His eyes moved to his son-he had grown so much. She was so focused on calming the baby that she didn't notice him at first. Tears filled her eyes as she held their feverish child close. He softly called her name. Startled, she looked up-and froze. Then she quickly lowered her gaze and tried to get up. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her. She sat back down, turning her face away, quietly wiping her tears. He reached out to take their son. The moment he held him, he felt the heat-his little body was burning with fever. A chill ran through him. After all these months, seeing his child like this was unbearable. He loved his wife and son deeply, but his loyalty to his mother-and obedience to her word-always came first. Between a mother who owned his soul and a wife who held his heart, he was a man torn in a cruel war of love and loyalty. And she-she had given her all to a promise whispered beneath the sacred fire... never knowing that one day, she'd be holding her child, with nothing but a faded vow.

The world knew the Kirgun name. It was whispered in boardrooms, feared in alleyways, and carved into the history of power itself. Theirs was an empire built on silence and shadow, led by Tharn Kirgun, a man the underworld called Dada, whose word could bend entire nations. At his side stood Type, the heart of the dynasty, who had done what no man was thought able to do-bring life into this ruthless world. Five children, each carrying the weight of their bloodline, each born into a house where love and fear danced side by side. The eldest, Jes Kirgun, was the empire's blade. Cold, untouchable, the heir who bore both the fortune and the curse of being firstborn. Around him, the siblings-Mile, Bright, May, and June-breathed a rare light into the mansion, though even their laughter was fragile in a house ruled by shadows. But Earth was not the only stage where fate played its game. Far across galaxies, under skies no human eyes had seen, lived the Wichapas family-brothers bound by blood and secrets of another kind. Apo, Win, and Bible were heirs not to crime or fortune, but to a legacy written in the stars. Neither family yet knew that their worlds would one day collide. Neither Jes, with his empire of blood, nor Bible, with his destiny beyond planets, could foresee the bond that would draw them together-against empires, against galaxies, against the very laws that separated mankind from the cosmos. This was the story of a bloodline not bound by Earth alone. This was the beginning of the Cosmic Bloodline.
