Title: Merlin's Return Genre: Satirical Fantasy / Contemporary Fiction Author: Christos Coulouris Blurb: What happens when the most legendary wizard of all time wakes up in 21st-century Germany? After centuries of slumber, Merlin-son of darkness, master of ancient spells, and former advisor to kings-awakens in a world he neither understands nor controls. Smartphones, influencers, bureaucratic mazes, and climate protests are now the battlegrounds of meaning and madness. Mistaking teenagers for dark creatures, reality TV for magical illusions, and the German chancellor for an old court jester, Merlin stumbles his way through viral fame, political absurdities, and esoteric hype. From TikTok trends to EU debates, his rise as a "Runefluencer" becomes both hilarious and unsettling. A razor-sharp satire filled with wit, magic, and social critique, Merlin's Return is a wild, intelligent ride through our modern chaos-told through the bewildered eyes of a wizard who might just be the sanest person left.

Starting at the beginning of Season 4, Lancelot and Merlin manage to close the rift without a sacrifice. With Arthur curious about magic, Merlin finds himself revealing his talents to the most trusted of the knights and to the prince. Together they decide that they will bring magic back to Camelot when Arthur becomes king. Also, a funny Merlin meme in every chapter. For no reason, just cause I liked them. And I don't own Merlin, obviously. Just the story.
