Isolde Brannon is just your average college student focused on earning her doctorate—until a horrifying encounter with the Ilmestys Coven changes everything. Used as a vessel in a powerful ritual, Isolde unwillingly awakens a dark and ancient curse buried deep within her bloodline, one that had lain dormant for generations. Shaken and desperate for answers, she returns to her beloved homeland of Ireland, hoping for peace, but instead finding mystery, magic, and danger waiting for her.
In Ireland, she meets James FitzGerald, the mysterious Duke of Leinster, and his charming younger brother, Lochlan. Though their noble status and enigmatic pasts raise questions, Isolde quickly finds herself drawn into their world. She uncovers chilling connections between Irish folklore, the supernatural underworld, and the curse now haunting her.
Beginning with the legend of the Abhartach, Isolde dives deep into ancient myths, only to discover that vampires aren’t just stories—they’re real, and they're nothing like the romanticized monsters of fiction. These creatures are older, more powerful, and far more dangerous than she ever imagined. Each clue she uncovers leads to more peril, unraveling a hidden world of witches, cursed bloodlines, demonic entities, and manipulative fae with their own agendas.
With the help of James—who finds himself hopelessly entangled with Isolde from the moment he meets her—and the ever-loyal Lochlan, Isolde must navigate a treacherous journey through shifting timelines, ancestral secrets, and realms beyond human comprehension. Together, they face trials that test their courage, loyalty, and hearts. As the stakes rise and the line between friend and foe blurs, Isolde must decide who to trust and how far she's willing to go to reclaim her fate.
But the deeper she digs into her past and the history of her bloodline, the more she realizes this curse may not be something she can run from—it might be the key to something far greater… or far more terrifying.
She is walking in the dark corridors which are barely lit, the only source of light is the torch light in her hand.
As she is walking she heard someone calling her " Piyali...."
she halted in her tracks and turned back, she find the voice familiar but can't decipher where she heard, the voice is so sweet to her...
" Piyali"... the voice again called this time she decided to check.
she walked towards the voice direction
" who's is there?" Her voice echoed but no reply came, so she neared the spot from where the voice is heard, which is more darker than the corridor, even her torch is falling short in the darkness there, she is trying to adjust her eyes, squinting her eyes she asked again " who's is that?"
She expected a reply but she was pulled into a hug.
As a girl she is trying to defend herself but the hug is so strong she is unable to even move.
she can hear that manly voice kept saying something to her, but she is unable to understand.
Those hands now cupped her face, while she tried to see who it is,
but she felt kisses on her neck traveling towards her face,
she resisted and shouted " no...leave me...no"
Hearing that the hands left her face immediately, and the manly voice sounded concern, but escaping from the grip, she started to run from there in the darkness.
she is not in the right state of mind she just kept running and running until she bumped into someone.
