"We are Valifaty; vengeance reborn, ruin incarnate. By our spears, your knees shall bow and your souls will shatter. Let us end this age."

It has been a century since the Vazimba, magic-wielding forest people descended of the first inhabitants of Zanameva, rebelled against the prospects of the Age of Advancement after a terrible betrayal by the Giftless, powerless migrants. A tragedy which angered the razana, ancestors, who ripped the skies and plagued the lands, disappearing for good.
Zanameva is flourishing technologically and economically, even with it's horrible caste system and the plagues that terrorize the states. Even as rogue Vazimba are hunted down and killed. All hope seems to be lost for liberation of the Vazimba but a new uprising, Valifaty has risen, more powerful than any before them.
And they are snatching Vazimba in hiding for their terrible cause, igniting dormant magic...
The fate of four unlikely individuals are entwined by the gods: Avy, a rebellious labourer torn between her family and her defiance, Teza, a fugitive Half-born Vazimba running from grief and the law, Harena, a terminally ill noble who craves autonomy from the men who control her and Johary, a cold ex-scholar who craves revenge against Valifaty for his best friend's death.
As they become embroiled with the resistance, each finally feel a sense of freedom, with each other and with Valifaty. But the path they walk is bloody and unpredictable and the secrets they uncover behind Zanameva, the uprising and even themselves may be the very thing that dooms them all.

'I wish we're sent on another hunt,' she spoke, 'I simply can't wait to slay those sorry creatures.' Her face contorted with disgust. He chuckled and gently tugged her nose, 'All in good time, Anamika. The cosmos waits for everyone.'
She was surprised, 'It does?'
He nodded, 'Of course it does. How else would you explain the coexistence of so many souls?'
'I thought they just went on. The higher souls go to the Devlok and they forget about us.'
He shook his head, 'No, they don't. Indeed, they stay there in the Devlok for some time but when they're done enjoying the fruit of their good deeds, they go back to the Prithvilok.' He paused, 'It's birth and death over and over again.'

Join Anamika and Keval as they venture into the depths of war and death- from normal beings of the earth to the strongest of the two warring realms.

They feared for themselves for the Heaven they were promised seemed lost, gone to waste.
