Of Alignment

The world ended with World War III.

Forced underground by radiation and nuclear devastation, the remnants of humanity survived a century beneath the surface in massive bunkers built by governments, organizations, survivalists, and the wealthy. But underground life changed humanity forever. Exposure, confinement, and generations of mutation gave rise to new bloodlines, evolutionary traits, and hereditary Clans.

When mankind finally returned to the surface, the world no longer belonged to them.

Nature had reclaimed the planet entirely-cities consumed by forests, oceans swallowing coastlines, and wildlife evolving into something far more dangerous. From the ruins emerged the continent of Aethros, where kingdoms slowly rebuilt civilization alongside the spiritual force known as Shakti.

Far from the political powers of Aethros lies Urk'Nev, a secluded tidal village inhabited largely by the Muura, a Beastling people living in harmony with the transformed world. There, a gifted but uncertain boy named Xavier begins awakening to powers he barely understands while studying under the respected Zeonna Dhak.

But as tensions between kingdoms, ideologies, and ancient truths begin surfacing, Xavier's generation may determine what humanity evolves into next.

Of Alignment is a dark fantasy blending post-apocalyptic worldbuilding, martial philosophy, spiritual mysticism, and political conflict into a story about evolution, inheritance, and humanity's struggle to find balance in a world reclaimed by nature.
