Wren lives in an almost perfect world. She lives with her sister, Cricket, and her parents. They have little financial problems despite living in a time when a good amount of people are living on the streets. Wren has never felt like she has fit in, but she does not mind because it helps her hide from every problem that comes at her. But Wren's whole life changes when she finds a boy named Elk hiding in the shadows of the woods.
