Living in a new mansion, in a new town, in a new state, Jamie Bradbury is your average teen. Trying to adjust to a new life in Shadow Beach, California, she gets a new job at the Shadow Beach Marina. But one of the worse parts of this new town is her house. But living in a old Victorian mansion can come with some perks. For instance, a cute and secretive boy for a neighbor, acre upon acre of forests to explore, summer rainstorms that bring thunder and lightning are all of what Jamie is beginning to love in the town. But the town isn't all what it's cracked up to be. Strange things are happening all around the house. Scratching on the walls, lights flickering, and doors slamming keep Jamie up at night. She is determined to solve the mystery of the house, but the information might kill her.
