hii!! i am elena and i am the maker of this story. so before i get into what this book will hold, i have to do the boring stuff first. so i do NOT own these characters, i am just a fan of the show outer banks, and wanted to make a story based off of it. all rights belong to the makers of the story.
anywaysssss..... now we can get to the fun stuff!!! so this book is obviously about jj and kiara. so jj is this guy who lived in new york, with a very rich family, but they were always busy with work so jj had to learn how to be independent from an early age. as soon as he turned 18 he left the house without telling anyone. he moved to outer banks. anyways now kiara is still half pogue, half kook. so she wasnt in the friend group with cleo,pope,sarah, and john b until after they got the cross taken. so yes, she found el dorado with them, but she didnt want a share. they didnt get that much anyways. so sarah has been trying to find a guy for kie, but kie didnt like any of the boys in obx, until one day she wants to go surfing... so the pogues are onto a new treasure after their money got stolen. and kie was tired of living with her neglectful parent and she didnt want a cut, just wanted to help her friends. so they found a lead onto some gold?... or so they thought...then kie eventually has to tell jj about the treasure right?? or does she keep it a secret until they find it....

I came to the Outer Banks expecting a summer of sunburns, surf, and my cousin's ridiculous Kook parties. I wasn't expecting hurricanes, fights on the beach, or a Pogue with ocean-blue eyes and a smirk that drives me insane. Everyone keeps warning me about the divide. Kooks vs. Pogues But I'm starting to think the lines here blur easier than people admit. Especially when the same people I'm supposed to stay away from keep finding trouble... and maybe a little gold. Now there are whispers about a treasure sunk somewhere off the coast, a secret people have died for, and somehow I've ended up right in the middle of it. I told myself I wouldn't get involved. It began with a hurricane, a sunken boat, a DCS checkup and a body in the marsh. That's how this story began. Or is it? This story could have many beginnings, it could start in 3rd grade, with the start of a friendship that's more like brothers than anything else, it could start with the death of a mother and the rejection of a father. It could start with the wrongful death of a slave, or the attempted murder of a treasure hunter. But I'm not going to start this story with any of those. The beginning that I'm choosing starts with a kook year, the falling out of a friendship, a girl stuck between two sides of an island, a late night party, a missing father, and a fight on the beach. That's where this story is going to begin. ....................................................................................... So I'm really interested in what the obx characters lives were like before the show. Especially JJ and Kiara's. And I feel like the idea of Kie having a kook year is something that could be really interesting, but the writers just never really explained it.
