In the nation of Gloiroux, a facility dedicated to training soldiers and analysts, L'Académie du Nexus, formed in a time of crisis against a plague that controls the body, spreading from the East in the wastes. They held the line against its forces, eventually holding it at a slow but sturdy standstill. Five years later, tensions start to build as mysterious occurrences begin, from claims of the improbable, to sights of the utmost uncanny, and thus the Nexus is left with the discoveries to be uncovered. Among the many students of the Nexus, a group of four get assigned a mission that begins their decent into horrors unimaginable.

Among this group of four is Sylvia, a young prodigy in biology who seeks to find a cure for the infection- or a purpose for herself, Valérie, a soldier who signed up to make a name for herself despite living in a shadow, Styx, a mysterious warrior who harbours mysterious motives along with tightly guarded secrets, and Étienne, a spy owned by an unknown agency that conflicts with his own moral code.

But despite their bonds, bleakness seems nothing but nigh, as the Day of Rebirth inches closer, humanity seems to crumble under the odds- but perhaps hope comes once night sets upon the land, and perhaps it will light the path forward. . .
