But they seemed unwilling to abandon her yet, sending the Realm's most grotesque dragon, tied to her path with an eerie habit of appearing when death drew near. While uncanny encounters with a nameless wanderer, distant shadows in the ocean, a passing beggar, and a great black stallion, left some wonder if the Stranger himself had taken an unusual interest in the Princess the Realm wasn't supposed to know about.

Whether she is the salvation of House Targaryen, or the spark of its demise remains a mystery, a fate only scribed by the Gods themselves. But what becomes of a girl the Gods refuse to let die?
