The Silence Between

Eli was 17 when Ramon took him in off the streets. Hindi niya alam kung awa lang ba 'yon o dahil may sariling sugat din si Ramon na gusto niyang takpan by helping someone else. Now, three years later, they live like father and son-sort of. No labels. No legal adoption. Just a quiet understanding.

But the longer they live together, the more confusing things get. The comfort becomes intimacy. The concern becomes obsession. And late-night conversations turn into moments that linger too long.

Neither of them knows how to name what they feel. They only know it shouldn't be this complicated.
