Luke tightens his grip on your hand. Causing you to look up at him in confusion. His eyebrows are crinkled and his eyes are narrowed. You shift your attention to look ahead and your face instantly softens. Standing from afar is this group of boys who are chattering to themselves. Whistling and smirking at you. Shaking your head, you turn Luke's face with ur fingers until his blue eyes are on yours. "Stop it", you whisper. "I don't like it when your not smiling". His face scrunches up even more. "But they-" "are complete idiots and mean nothing to me" you finish his sentence. "It's only you and me." Finally, his smile appears on his lips, and you sigh in relief. "I'm your one and only?" He ask with a grin. You giggle, wrapping your arms around his neck. "Always and forever"

More Than Just a Memory

25 parts Complete

Holding my hand tight in his, he whispered, "Will you remember it all? For me?" His eyes were brimming with tears and I watched his throat choke on the words he wanted to say. "No," I replied resolutely. Letting his chin drop to his chest, he released a sob so soft, I wonder if I conjured it in my imagination. I felt two hot tears drop onto my wrist and I squeezed his hand with all of my strength. "I won't remember it all," I said, "Because you are more than just a memory to me."
