A story about a British girl who now gets a lot of compliments and has many "Friends", but just a few years ago no one even looked at her and the hallways were just full of laughter. The new school and the new people are a new start for Amelia, but the past is still haunting her.
When school starts and days go on, she starts to realize how much different her life is now when she's pretty or when she looks like the beauty standards. Even though she's so pretty and everyone loves her, she still has no real friends. Then in one group project she had to do it with a stranger. One boy from their class. Little did she know that boy will change her whole life and pretty much save her.
Amelia has a tough history in her life that is still visible in her behavior towards new people, but then one boy changes everything and saves her.
Amelia is 15 years old, in ninth grade. She transformed into a new school to leave all the past behind and to get a new start.
In the story I discuss and unpack my own experiences of loneliness and not belonging, bullying, appearance pressures, zero to one hundred popularity, the scars caused by friends and the feeling of inadequacy.
