Victoria is a girl from California; naive and somewhat mentally okay. Helena is a girl from Batumi; calm and also somewhat mentally okay. These two meet through Instagram, one of the biggest social media platforms. They begin their friendship bonding in such ways words cannot describe. However, they don't know what the universe has in place for them. The impossible happens, they meet through their dreams despite the distance between them. Each nap, each hour, each time they sleep at the same time, they always meet, regardless of it being intentional or not. Their meeting spot is random, nowhere close to where they reside. This dream spot is in Imaginary Beijing, China. Suddenly, contact decreases. Conversations decrease, dream hang outs decrease, thinking of each other decreases, everything is now...barely there. The pair stop talking for a while, but the universe makes them dream of each other, causing them to desperately search for each other.

Autumn doesn't talk about what happened last summer. Not at school. Not in therapy. Not even to Kiana, her best friend since forever. Because if she says it out loud - that Kado is gone - it might make it real. Kado was never supposed to leave. He was the boy with the soft smile, the loud laugh, and the heart that always made room for her. From scraped knees on the playground to slow dances and whispered I love yous, they were building something that felt unbreakable. Until it broke. Now, months after his death, Autumn is left sifting through memories that blur the line between first love and last chances. Grief wraps itself around her like fog - heavy, quiet, and everywhere. Therapy feels useless. Her friends feel distant. And the version of herself she used to know feels like a stranger.
