THE STAGE WE SHARED #2 Rise and Rehearse (Slow Update)

Synopsis

"To be everything to everyone... sometimes means forgetting who you are to yourself."

Mikaela Ysabel Santiago is what everyone expects of a dream girl-disciplined, graceful, and gifted. A lead trainee in one of the city's most competitive dance groups. A rising star in school theater. A silent painter whose works win contests under a pseudonym. A girl with journals full of unsaid words that no one was ever meant to read.

She's seen everywhere, but truly known by no one.

To her peers, she's thriving. To her family, she's the girl who holds everyone together. But inside, Mika is tired. Tired of the applause. Tired of the pressure. Tired of being everyone's inspiration without anyone asking if she's okay.

Things take a turn when a powerful monologue is performed at a local inter-school play-one that mirrors her own private writings almost word for word. It's raw. Personal. Painful. And it exposes parts of her past no one was supposed to know.

How did someone find her secret journal?

As whispers spread and eyes begin to watch her more closely, Mika finds herself on the edge of breakdown or breakthrough. But amidst the chaos, a silent ally from her past steps into the light-someone who just might remind her who she truly is beneath all the roles she's rehearsed.

In a world that praises perfection, Rise and Rehearse is a story about reclaiming your own voice, and the courage it takes to perform not for others, but finally for yourself.
