The Thunderbolts fought their hardest to defeat Sentry, but quickly retreated after realizing his strength. Yelena took the group back to her apartment to develop a plan, a plan that included more than Bucky, Alexei, Ava, John, and her.

Svitlana Romanoff was originally on the Avengers, after being rescued by her sister from Hydra. Tony saw her potential and willingness to fight, so he gave her the tools she needed. A suit just like his, knowledge of technology, and loads of training. Lana was right next to Natasha, Steve, and Sam when they were fighting the Winter Soldier. She helped motivate Steve to get back his best friend. But, once Bucky was rescued, Lana and him became more than just teammates.

The battle of Thanos destroyed Lana's life, taking everything she knew. After Tony's funeral, she left everything behind and cut the remainder of her friends off.

Yelena knew Lana was their last option, a mastermind that combined most of the Avengers personal strengths. She just had to convince her sister to come out of hiding and help the team.

Thought not talking to her sister for over a year, and knowing she has bad blood with Bucky and Alexei, Yelena isn't sure how she will convince Lana to help.

*****

Story flashes between past tense of the old Avengers and current state of the Thunderbolts.

The battle with Sentry will be altered compared to the movie, and some timelines will be slightly off.

In this alternate universe, Loki is sent to Midgard after the fight over the Aether. The Avengers question the Allfather's sanity, but agree they would rather have Loki where they can keep an eye on him. So, after some extensive remodeling, the Avengers Tower and neighboring facilities are now an extensive training ground with everything they'll need to reform the once proud Asgardian prince. Thor is hopeful. He wants the brother he thought Loki was back. Clint (Hawkeye) is waiting for a reason to exact some much deserved revenge. Steve (Captain America) has hope that even the most hardened of evil doers can be changed for the better. No one quite knows what Natasha (Black Widow) is thinking. Tony (Iron Man) resents having to share his tower with a psychopath. Bruce (Hulk) did not fly away to Sakar. He's brooding away in his own private wing. Scott (Antman) is under house arrest... at the tower. Wanda (Scarlet Witch) is still mourning her brother while nurturing a still very naive Vision. (Neither are living in the tower. Will only play small, fleeting parts in this story.) Dr Strange refuses to move into the tower. After all, it is more important to keep up with his work at the Sanctum. Peter (Spiderman) is spending his summer at the Tower, much to the dismay of Aunt May, who knows how dangerous this is, but does not know Loki has returned. Sam (Falcon) will follow Cap to the ends of the earth, but refuses to jump off the proverbial bridge just because Cap's doing it. Bucky (Winter Soldier) is trying to atone for his past misdeeds, while learning what exactly they were, but is living in Wakanda with T-challa (Black Panther) so neither will be playing a large role in this story. Then there's Aite. She's new. She's the Greek goddess of mischief, delusion, folly, and ruin. You'd think her and Loki would be the best of friends... Not so much.

"Where are you going with this?" "You know where I'm going with this," Jessica said. "She thinks the most dangerous people are the ones who lie to themselves about who they are the longest." "Absolutely not," Bucky snapped, stepping forward, his hands bracing the counter like it was the only thing grounding him. "Jess, are you insane? You will lose everything you've built, everything you fought and survived to become. You really want to give her that satisfaction?" Jessica moved around the island, calm but resolute, standing in front of him now. "If we can prove she's assembled a team of enhanced individuals... if we find them? That's all the evidence we need to bury her. No trials. No backroom politics. Just facts." Bucky let out a low sigh, scrubbing a hand down his face. "So what, you're just going to stroll into her trap and hope it leads somewhere?" "Val wants me on her team?" Jessica leaned in slightly, eyes steady. "Then that's exactly what I'll give her." A smirk ghosted across her lips. "And then we tear her empire down from the inside." *** [Book 3] Prequel: The First Mission Book 1: One Last Mission Book 2: One More Mission Book 3: One Final Mission Bucky Barnes x Jessica Rogers (Fem!OC) Based on the events of Thunderbolts* Started: 07.05.25 Completed: 04.06.25 *** Content Warning: This book contains sexual content, violence, death, and other mature themes. Annika grew up in the mysterious Red Room, the place where the all so famous Natasha Romanoff got trained. Except, back in Russia, she is known by a different name. Natalia Alianovna, one of the most successful assassins the Red Room ever had. One of the few to gain the title, Black Widow, from graduating from the Red Room. But she left that life behind, going to America, and becoming a 'Avenger'. Only problem is, the people who trained her want her back. And they will take whatever they have to. Here is where Annika comes in. She is the youngest girl ever to graduate from the Red room at the young age of thirteen. As a baby, she was found left by the gates of the building, abandoned. Left with only a first name, they decided to take her in. She grew up there, starting her training much younger than the six year olds that are dropped off. With that start, and simply never knowing anything else, made her much more dangerous than any other girl there. She started missions at six, being able to do more damage because of her younger age. They found another mission for her, one that was unique from all of her others. She had to befriend the young Spider-Man, and get him to show her the other Avengers. So she could bring the older Black Widow home. Part 2: Annika and Peter are headed off for an eventful year at MIT college, trying to live life to the absolute fullest when strange things start happening around the school. How will the two young Superhero's deal with this problem as well as pass their finals? AN: Okay, so I'm gonna say it now, before the story even starts. I am making a separate universe. I won't lie to you, I hated how Infinity War and Endgame went. So, something happened to Thanos after Age of Ultron, like he got murdered by somebody. So that threat just won't come anymore. Just thought I'd let you know.
