What happens when you lose everything? What happens when you face the unknown? For Jack, he faces them both head-on, losing everything he leaves comfortable living, to the unknown, isolated and alone, no family and no known job. Up in the mountains of Montana he becomes the newest member of the fire lookout team, this world is different from what he is used too, and he faces a new problem, a creature with no face that puts him and the team through their worse nightmare, or is it just Jack's worse nightmare. With this creature, this faceman comes death, comes uncertainty, comes to know who he really is from the other side looking in!

Life seems so happy for seventeen-year-old Wren. The most popular friends, perfect parents, and all the boy's attention. But things aren't always as they seem, she was nine when her best friend Jack just mysteriously disappeared. After that she could never truly feel, how some may say... 'complete'. Now he travels around the nearby cities, cutting out and then eating the organs of other humans. He's always lonely but wants no friendships after what he's done in his childhood. He also has good memories though; old friendships, no human organs in his stomach, that sort of thing... But he sees a beautiful young woman one day, she's almost... familiar. He wants to kill her.
