When a girl stuck in a stalling life meets a guy who makes even snack-table banter feel like an adventure, neither expects more than a night of distraction. But after one too many 'almosts' and a coin that shouldn't matter as much as it does, she finds herself booking a ticket to Ireland-he's going to see his family; she's going to see if she still remembers how to live. What begins as a spontaneous detour becomes something heavier. Somewhere between Dublin bus stops, rainy cliffs, and pub songs sung too loudly, they must decide: Are they running away-or just finally moving forward? A quietly aching, sharply funny story about control, connection, and the terrifying hope of something real.

Despise me." He raised the bottle, toasting Nick before taking another swallow. "Until you end up like me." PART ONE: A family secret manifests into dual identities for one brother, exiles another and prompts the woman they love to leave both seeking her freedom. PART TWO AND THREE: A street urchin picks the pocket of the exiled brother, leading her out to sea and into the hearts of two men and the conflict that has torn the family apart.
