The Tale of Aetherion
Aetherion the heart of the cosmos, where stars are born and gods once walked. It was shaped by eight divine beings, creators of the world and guardians of balance.
Foremost was Huuroz, the First God carefree, childish, yet unfathomably powerful when serious. Known as the Manifest of Creation, he ruled the gods and shaped reality itself, his role to balance light and darkness. Beside him stood Laynia, the tall and regal Mother of Light and Hope strict, motherly, and devoted to her divine duty. The third was Ronniz, small in form but terrifying in might the God of Fate, master of strategy and bearer of the blade that once cleaved a black hole.
These three were the Prime Gods. With them came five others:
Tiranea, Goddess of Nature;
Ignar, God of Fire;
Kaelis, Goddess of Water;
Dravon, God of Ground;
Velyssia, Goddess of Lightning.
Each ruled their own kingdom, worshiped by mortals and spirits alike.
Yet peace shattered when Huuroz, desiring perfect order, sought to enslave mortals. The gods turned against him, and Ronniz led the revolt. In the aftermath, Huuroz was defeated, surrendering the sacred Dovoria Palace heart of Aetherion, where the First Tree grew to Laynia. A weapon, the Godbane, was proposed to prevent future divine betrayal, though Nature, Lightning, and Fire refused it, fearing what it meant.
Huuroz vanished. Some say he still lingers, watching, unchanged. Others believe he slumbers deep within the world's roots.
Now, as a new era dawns, Ronniz sees a prophecy unfold three travelers who may restore Aetherion's lost harmony:
Tirami Caelith, of Light;
Dovia Gunrewlipard, of Fire;
and Lucia Lawrence, a gentle witch and guardian.
Together, they carry the fate of gods, mortals, and Aetherion itself.
And so, the Reckoning begins.
It was on the 500th century of hell that I saw my salvation. He had walked in with a devilish smirk and sharp features. He had walked into my hell...My only goal was to get him out...To make sure he got out safely. The only caveat is, I made him hate me. The things I did to survive are things he can never forgive.
And now I am forced to partner with him to ensure the survival of his kingdom and mine.

As the Regent of House Dae within the faerie realm, Adalind made a choice three years ago. That choice kept the people she loved safe and caused her the affection of her mate. She could live with that choice. It's not until her kingdom and her mate's kingdom are forced into a partnership that she has to face painful realties. Perhaps she truly was too broken to be fixed. Perhaps no one could love her and her scars.
He has been given many names. The Lord of Shadows. The Shadowbringer. The Broken. All appropriate for the Beta that wields the shadows. After watching his mate murder a child and attack his lands, Goliath has grown cold and closed off to everyone around him, even his dearest friends. He's thrown himself into dangerous missions to forget the face of his true mate. He leaves his kingdom often to forget the face of the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. But he cannot forgive her. He is resolved to live a mateless life. He is resolved to let go of his fae Queen.
But his duty calls to work with her kingdom. The safety of his people requires it. He grows to realize that maybe all is not quite what it seem and maybe the person we have to become to survive is not the same as the person we truly are.
