Yara was always an oddity among the Altmer. Found as an infant on the shores of Summerset with blood‑red hair and features no mer could name, she grew into a woman whose magic defied every law of the Isles. Fire and frost bent to her will, shadows obeyed her voice, and fear followed her everywhere - except from one boy.

Ancano, the only child who never flinched from her power, grew into the only Thalmor who dared defend her. When the Dominion demanded her imprisonment for "dangerous instability," he invoked the one law they could not break: marriage.

Their union saved her life - and sent him to Skyrim before they could even share a wedding night.

But fate has other plans.
