When Rey Hart decides it's finally time to go back-to Iowa, to her hometown, and to the university she's always dreamed of-she knows it won't be easy. There's one thing standing in her way. Or rather, one person: Caitlin Clark. Once her best friend in high school, now just someone she used to know. Their past is complicated, and returning means facing everything she left behind. But Rey is determined. She's putting her education and career first, transferring to Iowa to pursue her dream of becoming an athletic trainer. And when the perfect opportunity opens up with the women's basketball team, she knows it's a chance she can't pass up-even if it means stepping back into Caitlin's world.

( this is my original story, it was posted on moonlitblossom20 but I got logged out and couldn't log back in) Kate Martin and Avery Hart were rivals in high school, and old best friends, two basketball stars whose teams faced off in a heated game that changed both of their lives forever. During a collision on the court, Avery tore her ACL, temporarily sidelining her dreams. Years later, fate brings them back together when Avery transfers to Kate's college team, and old wounds quickly turn into something more. As they rediscover each other on and off the court, Kate and Avery must navigate their past, their shared love for the game, and the complicated feelings blossoming between them. Can love heal the fractures of their past, or will they remain out of reach, like the championship they once fought for.
