When Rey Hart decides it's finally time to go back-to Iowa, to her hometown, and to the university she's always dreamed of-she knows it won't be easy.

There's one thing standing in her way. Or rather, one person: Caitlin Clark. Once her best friend in high school, now just someone she used to know. Their past is complicated, and returning means facing everything she left behind.

But Rey is determined. She's putting her education and career first, transferring to Iowa to pursue her dream of becoming an athletic trainer. And when the perfect opportunity opens up with the women's basketball team, she knows it's a chance she can't pass up-even if it means stepping back into Caitlin's world.

ɴᴏᴡ ᴘʟᴀʏɪɴɢ: those eyes by poetschoas. ❝ cause all of the small things that you do, are what remind me why i fell for you. ❞ In which, Paige Bueckers and Jenessa Jayde used to be American basketballs worst nightmare. A dynamic duo both on and off the court. Until one drunken night ruined their friendship, and they both went ghost. Avoiding each other like the plague, not answering questions from the media, no contact. That is until Jenessa suffers a season ending injury her junior year, and realizes Iowa isnt her home anymore, so she enters the transfer portal and ends up at Uconn for the remainder of her college career.
