Or, in which the life of Lenore Hana Fontaine makes it apparent that money can't solve all of your problems. Living a lavish life as a rich girl in Tulsa is a blessing that Lenore is lucky to have. However, when you're not aligned with each and every norm, living in Tulsa in 1965 is a double-edged sword- especially when that norm addresses the color of your skin. While her designer clothes and perfect manners open doors, they fail to protect her from quiet exclusions, sideways glances, and cruel whispers. Caught between the worlds of privilege and alienation, Lenore finds home somewhere she never expected to.
