Zoey Freeman wakes up alone on a park bench, with no memory of how long she's been out or why the world feels... wrong. The streets are empty. The sky is quiet. The air is too still.
She doesn't notice the chaos at first-just the silence.
Then she sees her best friend Maria attacking children like an animal. Then a dog, dead but still moving. Then a gardener smearing his face against the patio door like he knows Zoey is inside.
Her home is empty. Her parents are missing.
This is a work of fiction created by me any, similarities to the real world is just pure coincidence.

Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Complete
