The Tournament is a celebration more exciting than birthdays. A random, sometimes volunteered, fifty people are chosen to either kill or be killed, and whoever is the last standing wins prize money that will grant them the life of royalty.

Mishka Mahad, a champion when she was only thirteen-years-old, kills for her family. Only, this year is different. It's different because Tajna Rouka, Mishka's fifth-grade crush, has finally taken interest in her. But something about this interest is shrouded in the deadly mysteries behind town disappearances, witchcraft, and family bonds that run deeper than the ocean.

Figuring out how to leave this Hellhole forever, will they make it out alive? Or will rattling chains, scaly monsters, and heartbreak burden them until their impending dooms?
